Ahh, yes...Lamia. I would say that Lamia was my first REAL discovery on myspace. There is so much talent bundled up in that tiny body. She is a writing machine! What I marvel most about her is that besides having an endearing voice, she exudes talent, desire, and is a top notch communicator. I will not pick out any one song, because I've liked the majority she has sent me. The versatility to sing in three languages is a HUGE plus. Husband Fab plays a guitar like the great years of rock styling of the 70's and 80's. Again a HUGE plus. There is a fine line of a musician and a radio/music person relationship. Some can be downright annoying, thinking that their music is great, and I (insert any radio person), HAVE to play it. Well, that's not the way it works. I (insert any radio person) listens, if we like we play it. If we really like it, then we continue to play either one song or explore other tracks. Some musicians can be obnoxious by constantly asking "are you gonna play it again and again?" What I truly dig about Lamia is that she will thank you, and hope that you will continue to play her music. She doesn't expect. That again is a HUGE plus. I know in my heart that someone of importance will see and hear what I do, and will sign her up and bring her music from France, and will be one day heard all around the world. Grace, I am happy you chose her as your artist of the week.
